DrBob222,
2.48 x 10^3. You CAN solve your problem of "not handling" exponents by rewriting the number as 0.00248. The conversion factor is 1 atm = 760 torr.
2.48 x 10^3 atm x (760 torr/1 atm) = 1.88 torr. Or the other way is 0.00248 x 760 = 1.88 torr.
Do you not know how to punch it in on your calculator. Do you have an instruction manual? On my calculator, I punch in 2.48E3 and multiply by 760.
