Put the slots near the door that make a lot of noisy rewards, once hooked (trained), the arm pullers move to the back where the reinforcement rate is much lower, but the prizes somewhat larger. The folks hooked will see the larger prizes at the back (but not notice how infrequent they are), move to the back, and will persist with only intermittently reinforcement.
