if u could travel at the speed of ligt without fuel, where would the energy required for the engine come from? is this possible?

it is impossible to travel anywhere without fuel. The only other option is to walk by foot.

I don't know the answer to the question, i'm stumped, please help:-)

We don't know of a way to travel without fuel. There are some ideas that it may be possible without fuel. See the Wiki article.

I read the main points in there, and it doesn't really say much

Traveling at the speed of light is not currently possible according to our current understanding of physics. However, let's break down and explore the concept for the sake of understanding.

According to Einstein's theory of relativity, objects with mass cannot reach or exceed the speed of light because it would require an infinite amount of energy. As an object approaches the speed of light, its mass would increase, meaning more and more energy would be required to accelerate it further. So, even if you could theoretically travel at the speed of light, the amount of energy needed would be unimaginable.

To answer your question about the energy required for such an engine, assuming some hypothetical scenario where this was possible: If you wanted to travel at the speed of light without using fuel, you would need to find a source of energy that is not dependent on conventional fuel. Unfortunately, there is currently no known method to generate such vast amounts of energy without fuel or some external source to supply it.

In summary, traveling at the speed of light without fuel is currently considered impossible given our knowledge of physics.
