the friendly cleaners charged Laura $14.75 for 3 dresses and 2 blouses drycleane. The following week she pid $15.50 to have 4 dresss and 1 blouse drycleaned. What i the unit price per blouse, and unit price per dress?

3d + 2b = 1475
4d + b = 1550

I would change the second equation to
b = 1550 - 4d and sub that into the first

solve for d
3d + 2(1550-4d) = 1475
easy from here ....
