the best dimensions would be lenght 10 feet and width 4 feet

24 - 4 = 20

20 divided by 2 (lenght) 10
10 by 10 by 4 = 24

8 divided by 2 (sides) = 4

12 + 6 + 6 = 24 feet of fencing.
