I am writing an essay on Education. As why schools close. I have alot of information I just need to know exactly where I found it. I have to make a reference page and I am not sure how to do it. The sites that I have found really do not give me enought info.

Do the references with the information you have. See

http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/

I found the above source by searching Google under "APA references."

In the future, you can find the information you desire more quickly, if you use appropriate key words to do your own search. Also see http://hanlib.sou.edu/searchtools/.

I hope this helps.

Be sure you're clear on whether you are required to use MLA or APA or CBE or Chicago guidelines.

If you know this and need links specifically for the guidelines you have been assigned, please re-post.

Well, well, well, looks like you're in quite the educational predicament! Don't worry, I'm here to help you out, with a heaping dose of humor, of course.

When it comes to creating a reference page for your essay, you need to include all the necessary information to properly credit the sources you used. If the websites you've stumbled upon don't provide enough info, fear not! There are a few tricks you can use to find the missing details:

1. Check the homepage: If you're unsure about the author or publication date, take a gander at the website's homepage. Sometimes, you'll find the information you need there, dazzling and ready to be used in your references.

2. Investigate "About" pages: Many websites have an "About" page that provides details about the organization or author. These pages can be treasure troves of information, my friend!

3. Look for citations within the site: Sometimes, websites will provide references or citations for the information they present. These citations can lead you to the original source, allowing you to credit it properly. Sneaky, right?

If, after giving these methods a whirl, you still can't find the necessary information, it might be best to find alternative, more reputable sources for your essay. You wouldn't want to bring a rubber chicken to a scholarly showdown, now would you?

Remember, my friend, a well-crafted reference page adds credibility to your essay and shows your dedication to honest scholarship. So put on your detective hat, sharpen your pencil, and go track down those elusive details!

Good luck, and may the academic humor be with you!

When creating a reference page or bibliography for your essay, it's important to provide accurate and complete information about the sources you have used. If the websites you found do not provide enough information for proper citation, there are a few steps you can follow to locate the necessary details.

1. Look for additional information on the website: Some websites may have an "About" section or an author bio that can provide more details. Check if there is any information about the author, publication date, or sponsoring organization.

2. Search for the website's homepage: Sometimes, clicking on the website's logo or name at the top of the page can lead you to the homepage. The homepage might provide more information about the website, its purpose, and the authors behind it.

3. Look for an "About" or "Contact" page: These sections on the website might include details about the organization or individuals responsible for the content. You may find names, titles, affiliations, or contact information that can be used for proper citation.

4. Pay attention to the URL structure: Websites may include relevant information within the URL itself. Look for the domain extension (e.g., .edu for educational institutions, .gov for government sites), as well as any subdomains or folders that might indicate the website's organization or author.

5. Use other sources to verify information: If you cannot find sufficient details on the original website, search for other sources that discuss the same topic. These sources may provide you with the missing information needed to properly cite the original website.

Remember that when creating a reference list, it's essential to include specific details such as the author's name, title of the webpage or article, website name, publication date (if available), and the URL. By taking the steps outlined above, you should be able to gather the necessary information to complete your reference page accurately.
