Can you check these very last sentence of the day, please?

1) One day (and not once)the thieves jumped through the window of my house 2) One day the thieves got into my house through my bedroom's window. Actually, I had left it open through negligence.
3) They walked acroos the room and one of them stepped into the carpet (OR stumbled over the carpet???), then bumped into the TV and broke it (OR better: knocked it over)
4) They stole lots of money as well as expensive jewellery. They went out by jumping out of the window.

One day the thieves jumped (really?, or crawled?) through the bedroom window of my house. Actually, I had negligently left it open. They walked across the room, and one of them stumbled over the carpet and knocked over the television. The thieves stole lots of money, as well as expensive jewelery. They left through the same window in which they entered.
