Why do eggs and milk have different prices? It is because demand and supply dictate the price.
Why is Tide and HomeStoreBrand detergents have different prices? Because supply and demand dictate those prices.
Physical Property differences do not dictate different prices, unless those differences affect demand (Tide smells good), or supply (Tide is expensive to make).
