As I understand your assignment, you first choose four of these characteristics: happiness, anger, fear, sadness, disgust, anxiety, shame, guilt and pride.
Then, take each of the childhood stages and tell which of your four characteristics is an appropriate emotion and which is not.
To start you off:
Infancy
