(7,-2)3x-7y=6 the equation of the line is y=?

- algebra -
**Damon**, Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 3:53pm7 y = 3x-6

y = (3/7)x - 6/7

slope m = 3/7 and that is the slope of any parallel line

so form is

y = (3/7) x + b and we need b

-2 = (3/7)(7) + b

b = -2 -3 = -5

so

y = (3/7)x -5

or

7y = 3x - 35
