shown in the accompanying figure is 12 meters. Determine

the values of x, x + 1, and x + 2 by solving the equation

x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 12.

x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 12

3x + 3 = 12

3x = 9

x = 3

3 + 1 = 4

3 + 2 = 5
