Homework Help: Literature

How would we tell a hero story today? What would be the setting, what would the enemy be, and what values would the hero embody?

I need help coming up with a thesis...any ideas? thank you

We have many heroes now in Afghanistan. Fire fighters are heroes, especially when they risk their lives to rescue people.

Heroes rescue the perishing, care for the dying, and save the innocent, and take on nature.

I think that teen girl who sailed around the world is a hero, many, many girls will look up to her for a long time.
