Homework Help: 8th grade

I know the answer but how do i get my starting line ? Vancover recivers 3 times the amount of snow as toyko does together they recive 80 cm i can see that vancover will be 60 cm and toyko 20 cm but i do not know how to do it weird eh ?

Let x equal the amount of snow that Tokyo gets.

x + 3x = 80
4x = 80
x = 20
