The reason why Mckinley was biased is he never succeed taking the Philippine Island when American-Filipino war in 1898, The Filipino's fought back and demand to become Independent country. Mckinley wanted only naval base in the Philippines in city of Manila. However, Mckinley took advantage the Filipino their weakness in politics and few English words of Filipino. Instead Mckinley took the entire country and led to war against Philippines.
