moles Sn = 0.225
moles S = 0.450
ratio. divide by smallest number to make it 1.00
Sn = 0.225/0.225 = 1.00
S = 0.450/0.225 = 2.00
empirical formula is Sn1S2. Of course the 1 is not needed so it is SnS2.
