What is the cube root of 24 plus the fith root of 192

  • Math radicals - Reiny, Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 11:03pm

    24^(1/3) + 192^(1/5)
    = 8^(1/3)*3^(1/3) + 32^(1/5)*6^(1/5)
    = 2*3^(1/3) + 2*6^(1/5)

if you need an approximation, use your calculator.

  • Math radicals - MathMate, Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 11:09pm

    (24)1/3
    =81/3*31/3
    =2*31/3
You can do the same for 1921/5 and find common factors, if any.

If you need a numerical answer, your calculator is your best tool. (ans.≅5.7464...)
