The doughnut shop is having a special on doughnuts. The first dozen is $3.60, and each additional dozen is $1.00 off. The breakfast club paid $21.80. How many dozen doughnuts did the club buy? BE SURE TO USE EQUATIONS FOR THIS PROBLEM.

  We know they must have bought 1 dozen at $3.60 and x dozen at $2.60 so 2.6x + 3.6 = 21.8 solve for x
