Find the equation of the line that passes through the points (-2,1) and (1, -5).

m = y2 -y1/x2-x1
= 5-1/ 1-(-2)
= 4/1+2
= 4/3

There are two things here.

I think you dropped a sign along the way. You have

y2 - y1 = 5-1

whereas I think you meant

y2 - y1 = -5-1

When you fix that, you still need to find the y-intercept c to finish the whole equation.
