the product of two numbers is 50. when you divide the larger number by the smaller number you get 2. what are the two numbers?

Set it up as two equations

AxB=50 ........(1)

and

A/B=2..........(2)

or A=2B

substitute (2) in (1)

2B^2=50

solve for B

then A=2B
