The reason you might see fewer colonies on your LB/Amp/Arabinose + plate (compared to the number of colonies that you see on your LB/Amp + plate) is because?

a. UV light slows the growth of the colonies
b. Expression of a large protein like GFP could slow transcription of other essential cellular proteins
