I am a parent of a 10 year old, 5th grader and my hubby and I just can't figure these out to help her. Anyone?? Thanks in advance.
27 = 8k divide k = ??
5a - 3a = 18 a = ??
12r - 4r = 48 r = ??
g = 7(10-3) g = ??
These are finding the unknown number in each equation.

27 = 8k
Divide both sides of the equation by 8.
27/8 = k
3.375 = k

a = 9
