misused = mis (prefix) us (root) ed (suffix) [The root is from the Latin word usus -- http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?search=use&searchmode=none ]
subscribe = sub (prefix) scribe (root) [no suffix]
distorted = dis (prefix) tort (root) ed (suffix)
regression = re (prefix) gress (root) ion (suffix; or maybe -sion) [gress comes from the Latin verb gradior whose present perfect form is gressus sum]
