ok i have a 100 chart with 62 and 1/2 colored in and i need to know what the fraction and decimal would be for it.

THANKS,
ME!!!

62 and 1/2 would be 62.5

If you have a calculator, try typing in 1/2. then hit "enter" or "=". It should say "0.5". That is one way you can figure out what 1/2 would be as a decimal.

OK

thanks

but what would (62 and 1/2) be a fraction to show it???

Yes. Sixty-two and a half as a fraction would be 62 1/2. As a decimal, it would be 62.5, as we've said before.

"62 and a half" is 62.5, or 62 1/2, or 125/2. That's all fine.

But you talked about a hundred chart. I wonder whether you mean what 62.5 is as a fraction of a hundred, which is the same as asking what 62.5% is as a fraction.

Does your 100 chat show 50 as being 1/2?

62.5 as a fraction of 100 is

62.5 / 100 =

625 / 1000 = (dividing by 125 top and bottom) -

5/8.

To find the fraction and decimal equivalent of a colored portion on a 100-chart, you need to determine the number of colored squares out of the total number of squares on the chart.

In this case, you have 62 and a half squares colored in out of a total of 100 squares on the chart.

To find the fraction, you can write the number of colored squares (62) over the total number of squares (100). So the fraction would be 62/100.

However, since you mentioned that you have 62 and a half squares colored in, we need to convert the half into a fraction as well. A half can be written as 1/2.

Now, we have 62 and 1/2 squares colored in out of 100. To find the fraction, we add the fraction 1/2 to the existing fraction 62/100.

The sum of 62/100 and 1/2 is (62/100) + (1/2) = (62/100) + (50/100) = (62 + 50) / 100 = 112 / 100.

So, the fraction equivalent of 62 and 1/2 colored squares on a 100-chart is 112/100.

To find the decimal equivalent, you need to divide the numerator (112) by the denominator (100).

The decimal equivalent is 112 ÷ 100 = 1.12.

Therefore, the fraction is 112/100 and the decimal is 1.12 for the 62 and a half colored squares on your 100-chart.
