for my design technology assignment i need to find a product where the designer has thought outside of the box.

im not really sure what to do what i thought of was a coca cola can. the designer made it a bright colour to make it more appealing to consumers is this right?

any hel gratefully received thankyou so much:)

This triangular-shaped box is the most unusual packaging I've seen. Even notice the tiny bottle of Tabasco sauce attached to the outside of the box.

For your design technology assignment, finding a product where the designer has thought outside of the box is a great idea. Let's help you explore that further.

Regarding the Coca Cola can example you mentioned, while making the can a bright color may indeed be a design decision to make it more appealing to consumers, it's not necessarily outside of the box. Many beverage cans are designed to be eye-catching and visually appealing.

To find a truly "outside of the box" design, you should look for innovative and unconventional ideas that deviate from the norm. Here are a few steps to help you find such a product:

1. Research: Start by researching different products, industries, or specific designers known for thinking creatively or pushing boundaries. Look for products that have won design awards or gained recognition for their unique design elements.

2. Explore Different Categories: Think beyond typical everyday objects and consider products from various fields like technology, fashion, automotive, or interior design. This will broaden your options and increase the likelihood of finding something unique.

3. Think about Functionality: Look for products that offer a fresh perspective on functionality or solve a problem in an unconventional way. Designs that challenge traditional notions and exceed expectations can be great examples of out-of-the-box thinking.

4. Analyze Design Elements: Pay attention to specific design elements that make a product stand out. These may include materials used, ergonomics, manufacturing techniques, aesthetics, or sustainability features. The more unusual and unexpected these elements are, the more likely it is that the designer has thought outside of the box.

5. Consider User Experience: Evaluate how the product enhances the user experience or introduces an entirely new approach. For example, if the product changes the way users interact, simplifies complex tasks, or introduces a unique feature, it demonstrates innovative thinking.

6. Visualize and Explain: Once you've found a suitable product, explain why it represents thinking outside of the box. Focus on the design decisions that differentiate it from conventional products and how it brings fresh ideas or improvements to the table.

By following these steps, you should be able to find a truly innovative and boundary-pushing design for your assignment. Good luck!
