Read Skill Building Module #16: Managing Resistance to Change (pp. 615-616) in Organizational Behavior (11th ed.), excluding the Self-Assessment Interpretation section, and the Reinforcement Activities section.

Determine what you think would be the best three approaches for managing resistance to change, of the six approaches listed in the Skill Concepts and Behaviors section, to apply to the nursing teams situation.

The six approaches for managing resistance to change are:

1. Education and communication
2. Participation
3. Facilitation and support
4. Negotiation
5. Manipulation and co-optation
6. Coercion
