9m + 45-3=60
9m + 42 = 60
9m + 42 - 42 = 60 - 42
9m = 28
m = 18/9
m = 2
You can check it by substituting 2 for m in your original problem.
(9 * 2) + 45 - 3 = 60
18 + 42 = 60
