A customer want to make a teepee in his backyard for his children. He plans to use lengths of PVC plumbing pipe for the supports on the teepee. The teepee is to be 12ft. accross and 8ft tall. How long should the pieces of PVC plumbing pipe be?

Use the Pythagorean theorem for right triangle, with the base as 1/2 the diameter of the teepee.
(1/2 base)^2 + Height^2 = Hypotenuse^2
I hope this helps. Thanks for asking.
