The sterotype of the homosexual, particularly the male, is one of promiscuity. Indeed, there is some basis for that sterotype; about half of all white mails in one study reported that they had over five hundred partners. However Riedmann (1995) esimated that 75% o lesbians and 40 percent of gay men are in stable, monogamous relationships at any given time. The point is that many gays, and an even greater portion of lesbians, try to form stable, monogamous relationships.

I have to find the topic and the main idea.. I think the main i dea is the last sentence.. and the topic is lesibian and gay relationships?
would like to know if that's correct
