Find the greatest number which when divided into 1250 and 1000 leaves a remainder of 26 and 28 respectively.

Numbers that leave a remainder of 28 when divided into 1000 are:

486, 243, and 81.

Numbers that leave a remainder of 26 when divided into 1250 are:

612, 306, 204, 153, 102, 51, and 34

I don't see any numbers common to both lists.

408, 136 and 69 also work with 1250, but none of them work with 1000.
