What is the f? Is it multiplied like this?
    1/(E4*f) or
    1/E4f

  • 7th grade Pre-Algebra - Dean, Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 10:19pm

    IT doesn't give f.

    I'll tell you again, :|
    e^-4f

    Thats a negative 4 exponent.

Thats the question, but the answer I got was 1/e to the fourth power, f.

That's ok; however, you still are not writing it clearly.
e^-4f can mean (e^-4)*f or it can mean
e^(-4f). If the former, it's the first answer I gave you. If the latter, it's the second answer. Also, E and e aren't the same.

    I believe I have to times f,
Sorry for not writing it carefully, this keyboard is crap.

    e^-4*f
    I got 1/e^4*f or just 1/e^4f?
Also, please give me a webpage and responde as quickly as possible, I've been on Jishka for an hour ):

Here is a site. The last item on the menu talks about negative exponents.
I think the answer is 1/e4f or 1/E4f depending upon the original problem being E or e.
