There is a rectangular piece of land that measures 40ft by 70 ft in the middle there is a square sandbox that is 6 ft on each side the rest of the land is covered in grass what percent of the land is covered by grass rounded to the nearest tenth of a percent?0.98 %= 0.99%

40 x 70 = 2800 total
sandbox = 6 x 6 = 36
2800-36 = 2764 sq feet.
% = (2764/2800)*100 = 0.98714*100 = 98.714%.
To the nearest tenth would be 98.7%.
To the nearest hundredth (which you had in one of your earlier posts) is 98.71%. To the nearest thousandths it is 98.714. Check my work carefully.
