If you sent out 5000 census to households and 3700 answered would my percenatge be 1.35%. please tell me if i answered this corrrectly I took the 5000 and divided it with the 3700 and I received the answer of 1.35%

It can't be right because 1 % of 5,000 = 50.
3700/5000 = 0.74 = 74%
Ahh -- that looks right because more than half of the households returned the census forms.
