Homework Help: algebra

Posted by karen on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 5:52pm.

Here is the question. Find 5% of 70 trillion (I know it's 3,500,000,000,000). Express in terms of millions, billions, and trillions. That's the part I don't understand. Do they want scientific notation do you think? 3.5* 10^12 for trillions but how is that expressed in millions and billions? Or, do they want it written out in words? Thank you!
