I NEED SOMEONE TO CHECK THESE PLEASE!!!

IF B IS REPLACED WITH A NUMBER THAT SHOWS THE RELATIONSHIP INDICATED IN THE TABLE, ARE THESE ANSWERS CORRECT?
Y = -X + B
X Y
1 0
2 -1
8 -7
10 ?
20 ?
40 ?
SO,
y=-1+1=0....y=-2+1=-1.......y=-8+1=-7........y=-10+-3=-13...y=-20+1=19.....y=-40+15=-25........ARE THESE ANSWERS TRUE??

take the first data (1,0)

y=-x+b
0=-1+b or b=1
Then why did you do this:
.y=-10+-3=-13 and
y=-40+15=-25

I was looking at the pattern that i saw. to me i see the pattern of 6 between the next number. am i doing it wrong??

To check if the answers are correct, let's substitute the given values of X into the equation Y = -X + B and compare the results with the table:

For X = 1:
Y = -1 + B
According to the table, Y should be 0.
Therefore, -1 + B = 0. Solving for B, B = 1.
The first answer you provided, y = -1 + 1 = 0, is correct.

For X = 2:
Y = -2 + B
According to the table, Y should be -1.
Therefore, -2 + B = -1. Solving for B, B = 1.
The second answer you provided, y = -2 + 1 = -1, is correct.

For X = 8:
Y = -8 + B
According to the table, Y should be -7.
Therefore, -8 + B = -7. Solving for B, B = 1.
The third answer you provided, y = -8 + 1 = -7, is correct.

Now let's check the remaining values of X:

For X = 10, substituting into the equation:
Y = -10 + B
According to the table, Y is not provided, so we don't have enough information to determine the correct value of B.

For X = 20, substituting into the equation:
Y = -20 + B
According to the table, Y is not provided, so we don't have enough information to determine the correct value of B.

For X = 40, substituting into the equation:
Y = -40 + B
According to the table, Y is not provided, so we don't have enough information to determine the correct value of B.

Based on the information provided, we can confirm that the first three answers you provided are correct, but we can't determine the accuracy of the answers for X = 10, X = 20, and X = 40 since we don't have the corresponding values of Y in the given table.
