The functions f and g are defined by:
f:x 3x-2
g:x 2x+5

Evaluate:g(-6), fg(3)
g(-6)= 2(-6)+5= -7
fg(3)= 3(2x+5)-2
6x+15-2
6(3)+13 = 31
Evaluate f(x)=8, calculate the value of x

Your "last part" is to determine the value of x when
f(x) = 3x -2 = 8

Just solve that last equation for x.
The answer is
x = 10/3
