**Ms. Sue**, Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 7:57pmHis birthday must be:

10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, or 22

It can't be the 10th because 1 + 0 = 1

It can't be the 12th because 1 + 2 = 3

Let's see if she can figure this problem out from here.

**bobpursley**, Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 7:58pmeven number? adding to nine?

well, even means the last digit is 0, 2, 4, 6, 8,

between 9th and 23, so the first digit is 1 or 2.

How can you get 1 or 2 added to one of the even digits to make 9?

**STL**, Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 9:26pmThe answer is actually May 18. 18 is between 9 and 23, it is not an odd number and 1+8=9
