I don't know of a link -- but think about these similarities:
Most Americans are Christians, Jews, or Muslim who all base many of their beliefs on the Old Testament. Most Middle Easterners are Muslim and thus share their religious foundations with most Americans.
Both Middle Easterners and Americans value family and traditions.
We are all human beings who love, work, play, and pray.
