Homework Help: Writing

Can someone help me reword this? or get me started?

RIFA outcompete and frequently eliminate native fire ants. They also compete with other animals for food and alter abundance of prey species. RIFA attack eggs and young of many bird and reptile species. In areas of high infestation, RIFA have significantly reduced northern bobwhite quail populations and may completely eliminate ground-nesting species from a given area.
