Here is the question: Write the following rational numbers in scientific notation. A) 0. 000005
B) 30 million C) 0.036754 D) 24,000,059 My answers is: A) 5 * 10^-6
B) 30 * 10^6 C) 3.6754 * 10^-2
D) 2.4000059 * 10^7 Is this correct?

30 million is 3 x 10^7 or 3.0 x 10^7 depending upon the zero being a significant figures or not. My best guess is that it is not and I would write it as 3 x 10^7. Follow your instructor's advice.
