TOPIC: Affordable Health Care
OVERVIEW OF TOPIC: Health care prices are high; private health insurance are not affordable to many people; many people have no health insurance and forego preventative health care
CONTROVERSIAL QUESTION(S) REGARDING YOUR TOPIC: Who pays for affordable health care? Are private insurance companies going to be put out of business? Will people have to get second-rate health treatments?
HYPOTHESIS: A single payer health plan sponsored by and paid for by the federal government will assure that everyone has equal access to the health care system.
