Homework Help: Algebra

Please Solve:

4-x=-5

I thought the answer was -9 but that doesn't seem to be it. Can someone please help? Thanks!

This is what I have:

6. 4-x=-5
The problem to solve is:
4-x=-5

Subtract 4 from both sides


x = -9 Then divie by -1

Would the answer be 9?


To Check:

4- - 9 = -5
