I think affirmative action is a good way but with a few restrictions.
it helps to prevent racial inequality
and also helps in creating opportunities in jobs
and helps minorities.

But it also has a negative effect
since it gives preference to a particular group it can be unfair to some extent to other groups
and this in turn creates frustration and negative feelings among the majority group
