what are the sings of the charges on the beta particles?

one of my frends says it 0. the other one says its +1 and -1. but i think its -1. now im not shure. can some1 verify. thanks.

The old fashioned beta particle is an electron; therefore, it has a negative charge of -1 (it's the gamma that has no charge). There is a positron, in older times called the beta + particle, which has the same mass as the electron but has a +1 charge. The preferred terms are beta particle for the electron and positron for the beta +. I hope this helps you keep things straight.
