I do not know what subject to put this

uh ok
how do I put this into one cell into microsoft excell into one cell
- .49 m
when i put "-" it thinks I'm entering a formula which is not what I'm tyring to do

i want negetive .49 m
m being meters into one cell and do not know how to

It's the "m" that's giving you problems.

The column should have a heading for the type of measurement (put that heading in cell A1.

Then in A2 type in -0.49 -- it'll work.
