i want to focus on the theme about ways soldiers have coped with war, like time obrien wrote to cope with dead and when curt lemon died in the story, the soldiers sang lemon tree because it was the only way to deal with seeing so many dyng

Does anyone think "war is kind" by stephen crane relates well to "the things they carried" such as the idea that tim obrien writes about how the sodiers were psychologically impacted and in fact war is not kind at all
