Homework Help: Chem.

Posted by Tabetha on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 9:14pm.

Here's a multiple choice on a worksheet I've been given. The thing is the answers make no sense.

Condensation reactions occur between a BLANK and a BLANK to form a BLANK and water.

The options are:

a. alcohol, ester, ether
b.ester, ether, alcohol
c. Organic acid, alcohol, ester,
d. ether, alcohol, organic acid

I thought the order was alcohol, acid and ester but this is not an option. Would c be correct even though they're flipped? Thanks for checking this!
