I am writing a poem. Can someone please give me some suggestions on how to imporove the poem, especially line 5. Also, I want to use some sound devices in the poem. Any ideas? Here is the poem:

Education
You are light that lightens up our lives
You are as vast as sea that cannot see the end
You are so significant and invaluable that you claim our attention
We value you, we demand you, we need you, no matter what ages we are
And the light ignited by you will stay in our mind
Without you, our light will die out.

Is "You are light that lightens up our lives" an example of metaphor?
Is "You are as vast as sea " an example of simile?
Also, is there a sound device used in "We value you, we demand you, we need you" ?

Thank you!
