Everyone on Earth orbits the sun. If a person leaves Earth and heads for the moon, he or she is still orbiting the sun. The astronauts of Apollo 10 were the first to reach the moon, but the Earth's gravity pulled them back to Earth once they had gone around the moon.
I bet you mean around the earth.
