If the perimeter of a triangle is 12, which of the following could be the length of one side of the triangle?

a. 8

b. 7

c. 6

d. 5

Would the correct answer be d. 5?

And how do you go about answering this type of question? I just guessed; I figured it was the smallest number.. and 8 was too long to be a side.
