Rewrite as an addition expression and evaluate.

(+2)-(-7)=(+2)+(+7)
what would i do?? plz help!! thanks. :)

do s.o.o. which is same.opposite.opposite. so keep the 2 the same and put the opposite of the - sign and the -7. and just add them together

so i change the - sign to + and the -7 to + 7. Then the question would look like this.

(+2)+(+7)=(+2)+(+7)
9+9 = 9+9
18 = 18
Im still a little confused. Did i do this right??

plz help, thx :)

Yes, Rebecca, you did it right. :-)

thank u :) just making sure before i write it down :)

You're welcome.

To rewrite the expression (+2) - (-7) as an addition expression, we can change the double negative (-(-7)) into a positive number.

To do this, we can use the property that says subtracting a negative is the same as adding a positive.

So, the expression can be rewritten as (+2) + (+7).

To evaluate this expression, simply add the two positive numbers together:

(+2) + (+7) = +9.

Therefore, the value of the expression is 9.
